  • Job Summary

    Aerohive is looking for a hands-on HR Generalist, to cover a period of maternity leave, reporting to the Director, International HR & Global Talent Management. You should be able to work independently, in support of employees and managers, many of whom are not office-based.


    • Partner with our US Talent Team and with Hiring Managers on sourcing, scheduling candidate interviews, and updating our applicant tracking system (icims).
    • Draft Contracts & Offers of Employment and liaise with candidates prior to start-date
    • Present first day inductions, creating induction checklists for new hires, arranging overview meetings with key stakeholders, sending out new hire gift bags
    • Complete all new-hire actions.
    • Maintain Personnel Files, shared electronic files, and paper records
    • Manage Employee Data and processing changes
    • Collate information for Payroll on a monthly basis
    • Monitor Sickness, Holiday & other Absence
    • Advise employees and managers about company benefits, administer all schemes and renewals, and payment of invoices.
    • Assist with pay review cycle, produce letters and data sheets
    • Assist with bonus process, produce letters and distribute as required
    • Draft continuation of employment contracts, addendums, changes to terms & conditions, as necessary
    • Maintain/update and assist with the development of new systems and processes and ad hoc project work, eg ADP, ATS Platform
    • Flexible Working Consultation
    • Maternity/Paternity Consultation
    • Conduct exit interviews, collating data for review within HR
    • Provide cover for Office Administrator dealing with general office/building facilities matters eg. Accepting parcels, liaising with cleaning supplier, ordering stationery
    • Finance: handle incoming HR invoices, (eg. For benefits, legal, recruiting) and report anticipated HR costs monthly to Finance.
    • Support International HR Director with employee relations matters, job leveling, promotions, terminations, and ad hoc reporting.
    • Be the first point of contact for most employee questions and queries, about our people policies and processes.
    • Partner with USA HR Ops to ensure that the content on the Company intranet site Jive & HR landing page effectively informs and engages employees in the International teams.
    • Maintain Employee Handbook so it is up-to-date with ‘International’-relevant changes
    • Support HR Director in any ad hoc projects that arise from time to time.
    • There will be occasional need to work later in the day in order to overlap with employees and HR colleagues in the USA.
    • Occasionally assist employees to obtaining visa’s for business travel, prepping paperwork 


    • Demonstrated strong customer focus
    • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy are ‘musts’.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills, being aware of how to communicate, listen well, build relationships and be able to deal with uncertainty and the intangibles.
    • Ideally a Bachelor’s degree and / or CIPD Associate or Chartered level and several years experience in generalist roles.
    • Thorough knowledge of HR best practices
    • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and well-honed Excel and powerpoint skills
    • Able to work with and influence leadership.
    • Must have demonstrated initiative in analyzing and resolving problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively and should possess the ability to make complex decisions.
    • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic and agile environment.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple locations and knowledge of employment and pay practices in other European countries is desirable.
