    As a Systems Engineer, you will have the exciting role of working with our regional sales team, Distribution and Channel Partners in presenting the company solution offerings and architecture to prospects and customers.  You will be responsible for evoking confidence in the company’s functionality and technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle.  The position requires understanding the needs of the company’s customers and channel partners and translating those needs into a presentation including a demonstration of the company’s functional and technical capabilities. The role will require travel and you must ensure that you have a valid passport. You are a critical team member in the continuing dramatic growth of the company who are a market leader in WLAN 2.0 solutions.


    What you will do...

    • Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives for the assigned territory, working in tandem with the Sales and Channel teams
    • Define and document policies and procedures for demo and trial infrastructures for channel partners
    • Create and maintain demo/trial environments to support target industries and incorporate new functionality as released
    • Create technical presentations and sales tools to high-light customization and integration capabilities
    • Enable Channel Partners in building their sales engineer skills/people by teaching the Channel Partner SE how to qualify, prepare and deliver a winning demonstration for the company
    • Proactively provide sales engineering support throughout the sales process to ensure the specific solutions are successfully showcased
    • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed
    • Increase the sale of company products and current product offerings by working with the Sales Team and Channel Partners to close sophisticated deals
    • Work with the company’s business partners to increase market share and meet both short-term and long-term objectives


    Who you are.. 


    Educational / Experience Requirements:

    • Proven track record of supporting complex sales cycles by preparing and delivering value-based solution demonstrations to End User Customers with and through Field Sales, VAR’s and System Integrators
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Experience in pre-sales for a network infrastructure or network security company
    • Firm understanding of TCP/IP networking, including routing switching and wireless (WLAN),
    • Authentication experience, including RADIUS and Active Directory. Open LDAP and eDirectory is also helpful
    • High degree of passion and ability to evangelize an idea or concept
    • Wireless domain experience – RF propagation, 802.11 protocol and security






    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required and you must be comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical customer / channel partner from administrators to decision makers
    • Be comfortable having commercial conversations with customers and channel partners
    • The ability to work in a team environment
    • A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
