  • Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

    As a Director of Product Management at Aerohive, you’ll build and lead the team responsible for driving the strategy, messaging, and priorities of our Cloud Services platform at Aerohive. This is a dynamic role – requiring an uncanny ability to empathize with customers, an aptitude for emerging technologies, and the vision to guide and improve the Connected Experience.

    Key interfaces for this high profile role will be the Engineering organization, the Global Sales organization, the Marketing team, and our Executive team. This role will be based in Milpitas, CA with some travel required for customer visits, trade show/industry events, and other Aerohive offices globally.


    What We Need from You:

    • Oversee the management and evolution of Aerohive Cloud Services platform
    • Work closely with PLM counterparts to develop tightly coupled roadmaps for future products
    • Manage a dynamic team
    • Instill a product development process to enable continuous deployment, learning, and evolution of the customer experience without sacrificing quality or product reliability
    • Always know the customer and relentlessly advocate in their best interest.
    • Understand the competitive landscape and provide feedback into the organization
    • Drive engagement with customers and external facing stakeholders to understand and analyze customer and partner needs across a highly competitive and evolving landscape


    What You Need for This Role:

    • Experience leading product definition and execution from concept to delivery
    • Experience nurturing a team and leading others in ways that motivate and inspire
    • Impeccable written and oral communication skills, including presentations to customers, industry analysts, and channel partners
    • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
    • Maniacal focus on messaging and product for buyers and influencers across the entire customer experience
    • Ability to recognize long-range risks and proactively mitigate them. Psychic abilities a plus.
    • Curiosity and excitement about things you don’t know. Willingness to ask lots of questions and go searching for answers
    • Scalability and ability to embrace organizational efficiency and strive to eliminate blockers to enable your teams to operate nimbly and effectively
    • Minimum of 7 years of growing teams and scaling product organizations
    • Familiarity with evolving trends including SD-WAN, APIs, NFV, and Machine Learning
    • Have a BS or equivalent. MS/MBA preferred
    • Willing to travel up to 20%
