  • Job Summary

     The Director, Licensing & Product Operations will be pivotal in building efficient business processes that enable Aerohive to scale. His/her primary goal will be to design and implement processes and systems that will optimize Aerohive business operationalization and License monetization of new product, with an emphasis on ease of use, simplicity, and scalability.


    This role requires establishing strong working relationships across multiple departments and ability to influence stakeholders to change processes and share project information in a timely manner.  The candidate will propose and present process designs that take into consideration end-to-end activities including the development of business requirements for the various stakeholders.  Solutions will need to be implemented across a global footprint.  The right candidate will strive in driving change and have exceptional program management, analytical, organizational and communication skills. He/she must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and interact effectively across many levels of management while meeting project deadlines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in, and at times, facilitate high impact business decision-making, challenging and fast paced execution, and strategic issues.


    This position should demonstrate thought leadership, business acumen, strategic thinking, as well as pristine execution.


    This position has two distinct and complementary responsibilities:

    1. Own the Licensing and Entitlement processes across Aerohive (manage the license server)
    2. Lead business operational readiness for new products across the COO organization

    This position will manage a team of business analysts.


    “What you will do”

    Licensing and Entitlement:

    • End-to-end expert on Licensing and Entitlements matters
    • Set up Entitlement vision and strategy to scale our business
    • Implement approved strategy, including processes/tools, and continuous improvement
    • Generate and report License and Entitlements Systems KPI’s to stakeholder
    • Integrate entitlement requests into product features and development; act as the Product Manager for License server (current and future products)
    • Own the management and maintenance of Aerohive’s legacy license and entitlements system and processes
    • Provide entitlements systems and process support for Aerohive products, and its internal and external users
    • Partner with Customer Support to provide technical and process support for Customer/Partner entitlements issues and renewals


    Product operational readiness:

    • Own, improve and drive the Strategic Operations Board process
    • Work closely with PM to identify and spearhead the operational needs of new products and work cross functionally within the COO organization to ensure operational readiness
    • Own the item master, establish governance - reinforcing ownership and accountability into each function
    • Identify business & technology solutions and their ability to meet the business requirements and cost objectives
    • Promotion of the business solution cross-departmentally and with Executives
    • Survey landscape and market for solution insights, direction, vendors and methodologies
    • Main KPI is to meet / beat business requests (benefits and values)


    • Qualifications:

      “Who you are?”

      • 7+ years of experience with expanding and diverse responsibility 
      • Experience defining, implementing and managing licensing and entitlements systems and processes
      • Experience managing, and enabling, efficient licensing and renewal models in multi-tier Sales channel
      • Proven track record of project managing, developing, documenting, presenting and implementing functional requirements leading to the implementation of new business processes across multiple departments in an organization 
      • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance 
      • The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
      • Experience designing and modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques 
      • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business 
      • Understanding of corporate finance concepts, accounting, budgeting and forecasting and sales operations process 
      • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations 
      • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities. Ability to deal comfortably with uncertainty and ambiguity 
      • Excellent time management and multitasking/prioritization abilities and organizational skills 
      • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus 
      • Employ strict confidentiality in sensitive situations and demonstrate outstanding judgment 
      • Experience in international operations desired
      • Project Management Professional (PMP), Salesforce.com, ERP (NetSuite), SQL experience a plus


      • BS or BA in a business related field of study, MBA a plus
